The European benchmark price for charge chrome and high-carbon ferrochrome has dropped 11 cents to $1.54 per pound for the second quarter. Sources had predicted a second-quarter price of $1.48 per pound. However, on March 10 ferrochrome prices edged slightly higher as the availability of material tightened, particularly in China.
