Stainless surcharges mostly down for Sept

Stainless steel surcharges are largely poised to fall again in September, with all four of the key producers in the United States lowering extras for Type 201, 304 and 316 product for the second consecutive month. The surcharge declines stem largely from a drop in nickel prices, with lower manganese and iron prices also contributing. Surcharges for Type 430 material are also set to move lower in September at three of the four producers. (American Metal Market)
