Surcharges down in August?

American Metal Market: Stainless steel surcharges are broadly set to decline during August, with all four of the key producers in the United States lowering Type 201 and 304 extras for the first time since January. Type 316 extras are also set to fall after largely registering gains in both June and July. The declines primarily stem from lower nickel, manganese and molybdenum prices that are outweighing higher iron prices. The exception in August is Type 430 material, for which surcharges are set to move higher at three of the four producers.
