We have all been watching the drop in the nickel surcharge over the last few months. The current spot market price for nickel (go to www.kitco.com) is as low as it has been since April 2009. At the same site, you can look at the LME (London Metals Exchange) nickel warehouse stock levels, and it is as high as it has been in the last 5 years. Over the last year, the stock levels grew by 69%. The rebound for increasing nickel surcharges will take some time.
